COVID-19 Digital Collection
Poplar Creek Public Library wants to document the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic at a local level. We are asking our patrons to help us record this historic time with photos, stories, and other documents. These items reflect the community Poplar Creek Public Library represents; chiefly, Streamwood and Hanover Park. You must be the creator of the item in order to contribute it to our collection. Donations in any language are welcome.
ITEMS TO CONTRIBUTE:
- Personal writings (limit 300 words) that record how the coronavirus pandemic has changed your daily life and your interactions with other members of the community
- Photographs of the community's response to the pandemic, such as a store sign with updated procedures, gatherings following social distancing guidelines, and chalk drawings or other signs of neighborly support
- Lesson plans or other resources for students that you created for virtual class instruction
- Video clips showing drive-by birthday celebrations, teacher parades, etc.
- Artwork, music, poetry, or stories that you created in response to the pandemic
